This document aims to describe and provide the guidelines for using the Rising Tide Messaging Gateway (Gateway) via the Short Message Peer to Peer (SMPP) protocol.

SMPP, an open telecommunications industry standard protocol, is the primary choice for high volume, high throughput SMS messaging; with applications that may include Bulk SMS broadcasts, Two-way messaging, and Value-added Premium SMS Services.

The intended audience of this document are the following:
• Partners / 3 rd Party organizations; enabling them to use and incorporate SMS messaging into their own systems.
• Internal developers; for integration of internal systems as well as the implementation and maintenance of the Messaging Gateway
